Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs (Master’s and Doctoral degrees)

Master’s Programs

Students who seek admission to a master’s degree program at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia must hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

Admission Process
a. Documents to be sent to department of academic affairs (DAA)
To apply for a master’s degree program, students must submit all the required documents below to the DAA:

Required documents:

  1. PUC application form + two photos (4 x 6)
  2. Two Certified Copies of Bachelor Degree
  3. A notarized copy of transcript
  4. CV + 2 recommendations from previous professors and/or supervisor from your workplace
  5. One personal statement
  6. Pay a nonrefundable fee of USD $25 for local students and USD $25 for foreign students.

b. PUC Graduate Admission Test (GAT)

Students must earn a passing score on GAT test before enrolling into a master’s program.

GAT can be waived on one of the following conditions:

1. For PUC English Diplomas

Within 2 years from the date of receiving the diploma (for IEAP, GESL and EHSS), students can enter a master’s program directly.

2. For bachelor’s degree from PUC

The students can enter a master’s program directly if they hold a bachelor’s degree from PUC.

3. For Standardized Tests: TOEFL, IELTS & TOEIC

Within 2 years from the date of receiving the test score, students with the following scores can enter a master’s program directly:

- TOEFL paper-based 500
- TOEFL computer-based 210
- TOEFL internet-based 80
- IELTS 6.0
- TOEIC 690 (TOEIC bridge is NOT accepted)

c. Interview

Students might be required to have an interview with the Dean of the Faculty if the undergraduate major is different from the major which the students intend to pursue in the master’s program.

Doctoral Programs
Students who seek admission to a doctoral degree program at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia must hold a master's degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

Admission Process
a. Documents to be sent to Department of Academic Affairs (DAA)
To apply for a doctoral degree program, students must submit all the required documents below to the DAA:

Required documents:

  1. PUC application form + three photos (4 x 6)
  2. Two copies of Master’s Degree certified by City Hall
  3. A copy of Master’s transcript
  4. A copy of Bachelor’s Degree
  5. A copy of Bachelor’s transcript
  6. A copy of Resume/CV
  7. 3 recommendations from previous professors and/or supervisor from your workplace
  8. Research Proposal
  9. One personal statement
  10. Pay a nonrefundable fee of USD $50 for a local student and USD $50 for a foreign student
  11. Certificate of Language
  12. Certificate of Computer Literacy

b. PUC Graduate Admission Test (GAT)

Students will receive an interview appointment with the Dean of the Faculty.
