  1. The candidates must be responsible to ensure that they know the correct date, time and location of their examination.
  2. The candidates must be responsible to check that they have been given the correct question paper. If there is any doubt, the candidates should ask the invigilator immediately.
  3. The candidates must write their answers in ink or pencil; pencil should be used for drawing diagrams, sketches, graphs or other purposes requested by the invigilator.
  4. A candidate must not communicate in any way with another candidate during the examination and must not disturb other candidates.
  5. If the candidates need to go to the toilet, they must ask the invigilator by raising a hand without disturbing other candidates. Not extra time is allowed for toilet visits.
  6. If the candidates require extra materials (e.g. paper, pens, pencils) or wish to hand in their scripts or to leave the examination room for a personal reason, they must attract the attention of the invigilator by raising a hand without disturbing other candidates.
  7. To answer each question, the candidates may read it very carefully. The candidates may take their time to understand every point of the question, and then prepare their answer thoroughly.
  8. Hand phones, notes, textbooks, or electronic devices which help find the answers are not allowed.
  9. The candidates who need to take medication during the examination should inform the invigilator before the start of exam.
  10. The candidates who have handed in their completed scripts to the invigilator and who have left the examination room will not be re-admitted under any circumstances.
  11. The candidates must stop their work when instructed to do so by the invigilator.
  12. At the end of the examination, silence must be observed until the scripts of all candidates in the examination room have been collected by the invigilator. The candidates must not leave their desks until the invigilator announces that they may do so.
  13. If a candidate wants the University to be aware of a disability/health problem, it is his/her responsibility to declare it to the University.
  14. During the examination, the candidates must obey any instructions given by the invigilator; the candidates must listen carefully to instructions and inform the invigilator if they cannot hear what is being said or if they do not understand what is being said.
  15. The candidates must take their University Identification Card to the examination. The invigilator will check ID cards against the attendance list during the examination.
  16. The candidates will be allowed into the examination room 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the examination so that the examination can start on time.
  17. The candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination room after the examination has been in progress for 30 minutes.
  18. No candidate may remove answer item or examination stationery from the examination room whether used or not.
  19. The candidates may take away the examination question paper unless this is specifically prohibited in the instructions on the examination paper.
  20. If a candidate has been warned three times for breaking the examination rules by the invigilator during the examination, his/her results are announced invalid and “F” grade will be given.
