Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) was honored to host an initiative seminar on “World Tax System through Promoting Business Tax Activities in Growing Cambodia Orientation and Resilient Tax” presented by Dr. LIM Rady, an international tax expert.

The purpose of the seminar provided students, faculty members, and participants with insightful values on the evolving global tax trend particularly the UN Tax Convention and its transformative benefits for Cambodia’s business tax development activities. Discussions focused on the emergence of the global tax system, international tax cooperation, and the importance of building a fair, transparent, and effective tax framework to support helping developing countries including Cambodia.

Participants also explored Cambodia’s opportunities and challenges within the international tax environment, including investment promotion, business competitiveness, tax compliance, and the role of taxation in strengthening national development. The session highlighted how global tax reforms can contribute to “Oriented Business Tax Community’s Growth and Resilient Tax” gateway which aims to create opportunities for both businesses and government.

Importantly, the seminar emphasized the vital role of higher education institutions in preparing future professionals with the knowledge, skills, and global tax perspectives needed to navigate an increasingly interconnected business and regulatory framework for digital tax momentum.
