His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, presided over the graduation ceremony for the 12th cohort of graduates of Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC), comprising graduates from Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs. The ceremony was held at the Samdech Hun Sen and Lok Chumteav Cultural Center within the National Institute of Education (NIE).
The grand ceremony was attended by Excellencies, Lok Chumteav, senior officials of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, PUC management and leadership, professors and teachers, parents and guardians, as well as all graduating students.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, congratulated all graduates for their perseverance, dedication, and determination in overcoming challenges and successfully completing their studies and receiving their degrees. He highly commended and recognized PUC as one of Cambodia’s leading higher education institutions, under the leadership of Dr. Kol Pheng, Founder and President of PUC, for its active contribution to the Royal Government’s efforts to develop high-quality human resources in accordance with national and international standards.
He highlighted PUC’s commitment to providing students with comprehensive knowledge, skills, ethics, and physical well-being, while meaningfully integrating education with Buddhist principles. This commitment is reflected in PUC’s motto, “Sīla, Samādhi, Paññā” (Morality, Concentration, and Wisdom), and its efforts to respond to the demands of labor markets at both regional and global levels.
Furthermore, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged all graduates to embrace lifelong learning and continuously develop their knowledge and capabilities in order to keep pace with the rapid changes brought about by digital transformation and globalization. He also urged them to uphold professional ethics and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility toward society and the nation.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his profound appreciation to the university management, professors, teachers, parents, and guardians for their dedication, sacrifices, and resources devoted to supporting the education of their children. He emphasized that educated young people are a strong foundation for the future of the nation.
He expressed his confidence that PUC’s commitment to providing inclusive educational opportunities, together with the dedication and sacrifices of students’ families, will serve as an important driving force in empowering the next generation of young people to become capable and promising leaders who can contribute to the continued social and economic development and prosperity of Cambodia.
