Program Purpose

The Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education (120 credits) is a four-year program  designed to prepare ethically-grounded, competent, and innovative early childhood education  professionals who advance equitable access to quality early learning experiences for all  Cambodian children, particularly those from marginalized and vulnerable communities. The  program directly supports the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment to achieving SDG  Target 4.2 and national priorities for human capital development through comprehensive  professional preparation aligned with ASEAN regional competency frameworks and international  best practices.

We are committed to developing well-rounded professionals who embody physical vitality,  intellectual curiosity, emotional intelligence, and spiritual awareness grounded in Paññāsāstra  University of Cambodia's core values of Sīla (ethical conduct and child rights advocacy), Samādhi  (mindful and reflective practice), and Paññā (evidence-based decision-making). Graduates will  demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to serve effectively as lead teachers,  pedagogical coordinators, program administrators, curriculum developers, teacher educators,  policy advisors, and social entrepreneurs in diverse public, private, and community-based early  childhood settings.

Through rigorous academic preparation, supervised clinical practice, and action research  experiences, the program equips graduates to critically examine and continuously improve  pedagogical quality, advocate for children's rights and family engagement, promote culturally  responsive and inclusive practices, and provide visionary leadership that transforms early  childhood education at classroom, institutional, and systemic levels. Our graduates become skilled  practitioners and thoughtful advocates for children, families, and communities, contributing to  Cambodia's vision of sustainable development grounded in knowledge, equity, harmony, and  social justice.
