Paññasastra University of Cambodia and US Embassy agreed to sing a MoU on The Continuation of American Corner in PUC Main Library for another period of 5 years, which was held inside PUC main library on March 25, 2009. About 450 people including deans, professors, students, staff and the Press participated in this event. The signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Kol Pheng, PUC Founding Father, Dr. Chea San Chanthan, PUC President and Her Excellency Carol A. Rodley, US Ambassador.

American Corner, which opens for the public daily, aims not only to promote American culture, social awareness, and administration, but also to promote better cooperation and understanding between the United States and Cambodia. The public can enjoy reading English language books and other materials on the United States, and use the Internet for free.

After the signing ceremony, her Excellency Ambassador did a presentation on “Cambodia-US Bilateral Relations”, which she mainly stressed the development of education quality of PUC and the well cooperation between Cambodia and America.
