On March 31^st, 2016, after several meetings between members of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC), officials from both institution signed a cooperative agreement.

Ms. Leong Soo Yee, Director of Asia Pacific, ACCA, indicated that the signing would work toward achieving standardization of the accounting profession in Cambodia. Prof. Mak Vann, Senior Vice President in Charge of the Faculty of Business & Economics and the Faculty of Tourism Management and Entrepreneurship, noted that the MOU strengthens PUC and ACCA’s ability to offer students world-class courses in the area of finance accounting; especially in relation to the maintenance and strengthening of professional capacity building and educational standards.

ACCA was the first international, professional, accountancy body to operate in Cambodia, starting in 2004.
