After a visit of delegates from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia to Daejin University, an agreement between the two institutions was signed on June 10, 2015 at PUC south campus. The MOU will facilitate mutual friendship, academic research and educational co-operation.

The two universities share a lot of similarities; especially in areas of promoting peace, and loving kindness to serve society. “This agreement will enhance the development of the two universities in term of sharing technical skills, educational practices, research, and other activities, mainly in ASEAN +3,” said Dr. Kol Pheng, PUC president.

In reply, Dr. Kwon-Ho, Dean of International Campuses, International Affairs and Education; and Professor, Division of Korean Language and Literature, remarked that Daejin University is willing to study the educational systems in Cambodia; especially Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, which he termed a good university in the region using English as a medium of instruction. Dr. Kwon-Ho added that Daejin University was happy to exchange human resources to work collaboratively with PUC for not only the period of the agreement but for years onward.

According to the agreement, two PUC students will be accepted at Daejin University, waving school fees for 6 months, to take Korean language courses. Students will be able to work part-time to pay accommodation and other expenses. In addition to student exchanges, professors, staff and faculty members will be able to study at the university and do other research.
