20 FCMA students to compete for the 2016 ad awards

Twenty three creatively designed advertisements created and produced by 20 students of the Faculty of Communications and Media Arts (FCMA) of Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) will compete for this year’s most creative advertising idea in the 2016 Student Advertising Awards on February 6, 2016, 5: 00 P.M at Srey Dim Conference Hall, PUC South Campus.

His Excellency Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information will grace the awarding ceremony. The event is a creative competition that aims to recognize and reward creativity of FCMA students in the field of advertising, business and visual communication. Honoring the competitive talents of students is part of FCMA’s mission in developing the skills of students to become global graduates in response to industry demands and in strengthening Cambodia’s advertising industry.

Competing groups of students originally designed advertisements for their chosen products based on the needs of its target customers. The groups will compete for the categories in Print, TV, Outdoor, Transit, Online Ads and the Campaign of the Year Award. Entries will be judged by Creative Directors from chosen advertising agencies based in Cambodia. Roster of Judges includes Hisham Sahudin, executive creative director of PHIBIOUS Cambodia; Anne Marie Andrada, Associate Creative Director of Havas Riverorchid; Nong Sear, executive creative director of FCB Cambodia; Mr. Laurent Notin, managing Director of Brains Communication and Juveris Tenisons, multi-awarded creative director.

The event is sponsored by FCB Cambodia, Smart Axiata, Stuff magazine, Zenya, Coca-Cola and Red Velvet.
