A major aim of PUC-BB is to become the premier research institution in northern Cambodia. To this end, it established its Paññāsāstra Battambang Research Unit, one of whose duties is to publish research papers relevant to Cambodia. The faculty members of PUC-BB have a wide research background, and they are also involving their students in many research projects. In this way, both teachers and students work together to improve their research skills, and to increase the knowledge base about issues relevant to Cambodia.
The Director of the Research Unit is Mr. Khem Reaksmey, Director of PUC-BB, and the Executive Chairman is Dr. Raymond Zepp, Vice-Director for Academic Affairs. Other members of the editorial board are Dr. Floro Calub, Ms. Beulah Siodora, and Mr. Paul Jaskierniak.
