Korean Studies Centre Inauguration |
On the 11th of June, 2009 Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia inaugurated Korean Studies Centre (KSC), presided over by H.E. Dr. Kol Pheng, PUC Founding Father and Senior Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Dr. Chea San Chanthan, PUC President and H.E. Mr. Hur Namsing, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, and Dr. Jung Hong-Sub, President of Sila University.

After the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the honored guests proceeded with the office and classroom tour, following by the main event held in Srey Dim conference hall. In this milestone event, both presidents signed a Memorandum of Agreement for a further and deeper cooperation between Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia and Sila University, Korea.

Korean Studies Centre is a place where students can learn Korean language and do some research related to Korean cultures, economics, and society.
In his welcome speech, H.E. Dr. Kol Pheng stressed that the partnership between PUC and Sila University will further the cause of mutual tie, friendship, development, and growth: “Partnership for Real” and “Friendship for Good.” Dr. Kol added that following the most recent official visit of our Prime Minister Samdach Aka Moha Sena Badey Techo Hun Sen, now the Sister-City Phnom Penh-Busan relationship has been established. |
