Climate change is a major global issue requiring urgent action. Human activities such as deforestation, burning of fossil fuel emit green house gases that cause global warming, irregular precipitation, flood storms & sea level rise etc. These phenomena cause negative impact on agriculture, human health & the environment. Although Cambodia is not a major contributor to green house gases, it is essential to understand the phenomenon in order to take collective action & tackle any situation that might present itself to us in future. Ms. Kimberly has been working on climate change problem for a number of years & this presentation is an attempt to increase awareness of students about the causes & effects of this issue. She is currently working with GRES as a carbon offset analyst.
All students, Faculty members & the general public are cordially invited to attend. It is Mandatory for General & Major level Environmental Science students.
