Superior General of Brothers of the Christian School;
President of the Union of Superiors; and Member of the Synod of Bishops

Dr. Alvaro, based in Rome, Italy, was appointed as the Superior General of Brothers of the Christian Schools in 2000. One year later, he was given further assignment as the President of the Union of Superiors. He is also a member of the Synod of Bishops. As a member of the Lasallian Brothers, he has dedicated most of his life to helping children of the poor and the needy in many parts of the world, especially through his service in education. He will share his view, and his experience, on World Education.
