Special Intensive Course on World CivilizationTaught by Prof. Sue Needham, Visiting Professor from California State University, Dominquez Hills (CSUDH)
ONLY AT PUC!!! That our students will have opportunities to interact and experience with international Exchange Students… On July 18, 2007, 10 American students from California State University, Dominquez Hills (CSUDH), USA, one of PUC International Partners, will be coming and studying in Cambodia and at PUC.
Prof. Sue Needham, an Anthropology professor, who heads up this Student Exchange Delegation, will personally teach this special course. With last-year-teaching experience in PUC, she was very impressed with PUC’s internationally standardized academic program and its student’s academic performance. Thus, she has arranged the second Student Exchange Program through the PUC Center for Community Service-Learning and Internship (CCSLI).
Prof. Sue Needham will be teaching this World Civilization course with a special focus on Pre-Angkorian Civilization. The teaching methodology will involve 2-week in-class sessions, on-campus at PUC, and one-week fieldtrip in Siem Reap as hands-on learning and assignments for students. After successfully completing this special intensive course, students will receive 3 credits.
*** PUC Students who have missed or failed World Civilization course, and especially those who are soon to be graduated, are strongly encouraged to take this special course.
