The PUC Library provides basic reference services to the students, staff, faculty, and alumni of the University following areas: literature search, and guidance in search techniques. All cataloging of new materials is accomplished using the computer and bibliographic database. The media service of the University Library operates library facilities (Group of study, meeting) and provides services for media equipments (cassette player, VCR, Slide Projector, etc.) for classroom needs, presentation or listening purposes.

Students are not permitted to bring food or beverages into library areas and are prohibited from socializing, conversing, making loud noises, or generally engaging in inappropriate activities in a library setting. A student’s library privileges, including the right to study in library areas, may be revoked when library rules concerning conduct have violated.

Circulation and Fine Policy

The fine for regularly circulation Books at PUC is 500 Riels per day, with maximum limit of 40,000 Riels fine on each late- returned book.

Students who lost books must pay their current replacement costs plus 4000 Riels per lost book for processing.

Books will not be renewed if they are not brought back to the library for recharging and are never renewed by phone.

Borrowing Privileges

Any student, faculty member, or staff could borrow maximum two books at one time with maximum 14 days long. He/she could extend the books for 7 days more.

The Library will put a hold on diplomas, certificates and/or transcripts of a student who has an outstanding debt for fines of loss of books. In exceptionally serious cases, the Library reserves the right to recommend formal disciplinary proceedings which may carry penalties up to and including dismissal from the University.

The Library will suspend borrowing privileges for one term for patrons who owe 10,000 Riels or more on fines.

All students who wish to borrow books must register with the Library each year. To register, students must present their University ID Card with payment 2000 Riels for two pockets. The pocket must be presented whenever a student wishes to take materials from the Library. These pockets are valid for one full year, or until termination of enrollment, and are not transferable. The owner of the pockets is responsible for all materials charged to his/her name.
