Writing a Winning Grant Proposal

In this four-day, hands-on workshop, participants will learn the secrets to writing a winning grant proposal and have the opportunity to write a proposal and have it reviewed by an international team of trainers. Specifically, by the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Assess the needs of a target community or population
- Make a persuasive argument for why your program should be funded
- Present a clear project implementation plan
- Describe methods for evaluating the success of the project

Cost
The cost of this four-day intensive workshop, including materials is:
- PUC Students: $20; Non-PUC Students: $30; Local NGO (budget under $500k): $200; and
- Local NGO & INGO (budget over $500k): $ 300

Application Process
Interested participants must sumbit, electronically, an application form, a sample proposal idea (250 words less) along with a copy of updated CV, no later than May 1, 2006 to:
applications@pannasastra.org. Applications will be notified of acceptance into the program no later than May 4, 2006.

Training Team

Susan Hagadorn, EdD, MPA , and Andrew Ahmed, M.A., are Professors at PUC. Dr. Hagadorn has advanced degrees in NGO Management and Organization Development from the U.S. with more than 20 years of NGO experience, including work on more than 2,000 grant proposals. She is currently a capacity-building consultant to international donors and both international and Cambodian NGOs. Professor Ahmed, originally from the U.K., earned his advanced degree in Applied Theology. He currently teaches English and other Writing courses at PUC. Previously, he worked as the proposal writer and fundraiser for the largest Buddhist monastery in Europe and for schools in India and Nepal.
