Evidence and Khmer Rouge Tribunal

 

What:         Conference on “Rules of Evidence Likely to Be Used by Extraordinary Chambers and Application of Existing Evidence”

When:         Thursday, June 30, 2005 (5:30-8:30pm)

 

Where:       PUC South Campus, Conference Hall, Fourth Floor

 

 

The conference will focus on the rules of evidence admissible within international tribunals and explore evidence likely to be applied within the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia for the Prosecution of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea (EC). Comprised of two sections; the first part will interpolate on available evidence that may be used in the EC while the second part will interpret the rules of evidence as reflected by evidentiary admissibility.  

 

The conference will serve as the final project and a representation of the scholastic achievement of the students in the Prevention of Genocide and Crime Against Humanity Class taught by Prof. Stan Starygin. The students are responsible for both, organizational work and the presentation of their research topics.

 

All students, staff and faculty members are cordially invited to attend. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
