Head of Asia Unit, Institute of International Economic Relations (IIER) Athens, Greece

Mr. Tonchev has acted as a political analyst and election observer in Bosnia, Albnia, Indonesia, East Timor, Cyprus and Cambodia. Recently, he was the Election Expert of the EU Democracy and Election Support Mission to Afghanistan. In addition, he has also served on a number of EU development and evaluation panels since 1994.
